I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth… Oh, magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. Oh, taste and see the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trust in Him! There is no want to those who fear Him. (Psalms 34:1, 3, 8-9 New King James Version)
The Psalmist, David, got personal with this, didn’t he? He said, “I will bless the Lord; His praises will continually be in MY mouth…” Let us all strive to get personal with the God of the Universe this year. Let us enter into a place of worship we have never been in before.
After the Psalmist got personal, he invited others to experience what he experienced. He said, “Oh, magnify the Lord WITH ME and let US exalt His name TOGETHER…” When we worship God privately, He gives us the power to push through whatever situation we need to press through. But when we come together and worship corporately, He anoints us to move even greater mountains!
This year I want to get personal with God and invite others to get personal with me in worshiping Him. David said this type of worship is good stuff! He said, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!” When we taste of the Lord in true worship we will never settle for less. When we taste of Him we will want for nothing. Whatever we need can be found when we surrender ourselves to worshiping God in spirit and in truth.
Spring is a time of new beginnings. Let us start this spring with a new way of worshiping God–not as a routine, but because He is WORTHY… because He is FAITHFUL… and because He is GOOD!
Beginning right now, I will:
1. Bless the Lord.
2. Praise Him continually.
3. Magnify Him rather than my problems.
4. Taste and see He is good.
5. I will fear (respect) Him.
6. I will not want for anything.
